Pilates

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment, flexibility, strength and balance. Typical Pilates workouts tend to be 45 minutes to an hour long.

Suzannah is a Pilates instructor for all levels of ability and furthering her knowledge has just completed a diploma for clinical Pilates with Breathe Education, using science based and current evidence tools to help you achieve pain free living and all round positive wellbeing. Being the eternal student, Suzannah is currently deepening her knowledge further learning all about the reformer, also with Breathe Education.

All you need is a mat and your own body weight, sometimes small equipment can be used such as weights, resistance bands, a Pilates ball and blocks. You can expect the exercises to involve a variety of layers and challenge which is inclusive for all. 

​

Although Pilates is specifically defined as an exercise for the core, it is important that clients understand that this includes all of the trunk, which is the abdominals, the back, hips and further more, the inner and outer thighs, shoulders and neck. Mixed in are movements specifically targeted to engage areas like your arms, glutes, and lower legs. So expect a full-body workout!

One hour classes in Charlestown, The Pattern Hall: Wednesday 6.15pm and Friday 9.30am. 

£9 per person.

 £20 per session, £38 for two sessions, £74 for four sessions.
